Eid Mubarak!

Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating!

I attempted a Rose Firni today which turned out pretty okay, considering the fact that I'm neither interested nor talented in cooking!

I followed this recipe on Mona's awesome blog for guidance. I don't like cardamom, so I used rose water instead. And I plucked some rose petals from my plant, dried them in the microwave oven and sprinkled them on top along with chopped pista.

  1. Firni is popular in the lanes of Old Delhi too. Used to make it in Hotel Management days, one of the easiest desserts compared to the sophisticated (but as tasty as) Bengali ones.
