On the tenth day after
Ganesh Chaturthi, Ganesh idols from all over the city, right from the tiny ones used for pujas at home, to the gigantic community ones are immersed in the Hussain Sagar Lake. Early this morning, we went to the Tank Bund road over the lake, to watch the immersions and take some photos.

lovely pics...wishing for more clay idols nextyear..and it pains to see al the plastic floating around
ReplyDeleteLovely pics, its a visual treat to see the huge colourful idols of Ganesh, but to do the visarjan is the greatest problem. We bought a clay idol and after three days of puja, put the idol in a clean bucket of water, when the clay melted. The water was disbursed amongst plants in our garden.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments and yes, I agree about the clay idols.
